Privacy Policy

When you pay through our online payment form we collect your name, email address, telephone number, the payment amount and any details the form asks for (for example student ID, programme or batch). Address, city and country are collected only if the form asks for them.

Card and bank details are entered on PayHere’s secure payment page, not on our website; we never see or store them. PayHere sends us a payment reference, the payment status, the payment method and, for cards, the last digits of the card number. PayHere’s own privacy policy applies to the payment step.

To process your payment, email you an acknowledgment or receipt, keep the accounting records we are required to keep, and allow the acknowledgment to be verified online.

Authorised finance and administrative staff of Lincoln Institute of Graduate Studies (LIGS). We do not sell personal data. It is shared only with PayHere to process the payment and with our website hosting provider, which stores our data.

Payment records are kept for as long as accounting rules require.

Payments run over an encrypted connection, every payment confirmation from PayHere is verified before it is recorded, and access to payment records is limited to authorised staff.

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, subject to our obligation to keep accounting records. Contact payment.support@ligs.lk

The payment form does not set cookies.

Our website uses the Google Workspace/Gmail API through WP Mail SMTP to send transactional and administrative emails, including payment acknowledgements and receipts. The Google account connected to this service is an authorised Lincoln Institute of Graduate Studies (LIGS) account.

When an authorised administrator connects the Google Workspace account, our application receives the Google account information and OAuth permissions required to authenticate the connection and send emails on behalf of that account. We do not use this integration to read the connected account’s Gmail inbox, Google Drive, Contacts, Calendar, or other unrelated Google services.

Students and other payment users are not required to connect or authorise their Google accounts. Sending an email to a student’s Gmail address does not give us access to that student’s Google account or Gmail data.

Google account access is used only to authenticate our email service and send website-generated emails such as payment confirmations, receipts, administrative notifications and other transactional communications.

OAuth authentication information required to maintain the authorised Google Workspace connection is securely maintained as part of the website’s email configuration. We do not create or store copies of the connected Google account’s mailbox contents for this integration.

We do not sell Google user data or use it for advertising, profiling or marketing databases. Information is processed only by the services necessary to provide the email functionality, including Google Workspace/Gmail and the WP Mail SMTP integration.

An authorised administrator may disconnect the Google Workspace account from the website or revoke the application’s Google account access at any time.

Our use and transfer of information received from Google Workspace APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
